The arrests of two people with Felony Warrants on A Ave in Anacortes Sunday afternoon caused quite a stir because several law enforcement agencies joined APD officers. No one was injured and the suspects are in jail.
Thieves stole an estimated $5,000 in wiring from a construction job site over the weekend. But, thanks to some police work, three suspects were arrested and the wire recovered from a recycling center.

A search near downtown Anacortes has turned up the body of a man who went missing from Harbor House earlier this week. The body of William Landers was located by the search team in a wooded, wetland area near Market Street, not far from where he lived. There are no signs of foul play.
Anacortes Police are asking for the public's help in locating a person who may have been missing for several days. On January 28, 2013, Anacortes Police were dispatched to conduct a welfare check on William R. Landers at the Harbor House in Anacortes, as William’s neighbors had reported that they had not seen him for several days.
A police officer who was responding to a call was shocked when he saw the passenger door of a car driving in front of him swing open and a man jumped out.
