Residents will have to deal with a few detours for about three weeks in the area of 32nd Street and D Avenue, where a single-lane roundabout will be constructed starting next week.
The intersection will be open to accommodate school bus schedules on September 6 with the construction expected to be completed after September 10.
When completed, the roundabout will include truck aprons and mountable islands, and bicycle lanes that transition to a multi-use walkway all the way around. Pedestrian improvements include 8-foot wide sidewalks, ADA ramps, and crosswalks.
