Free memory screenings will be held on Tuesday, November 14 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the Health Resource Center at Island Hospital, 1211 24th St., Anacortes. This series of questions and tasks designed to test memory, language and other intellectual functions can help determine if you might be suffering from memory loss. Appointments required. 299-4204.

Comic Night at the Library

You're invited to this year's genre night. Heroes and Villains: Comic Night at the Library is an all-ages event at the library celebrating graphic novels and comic books. Costumes are encouraged. Crafts, games, art displays, live theatre, and more will be happening throughout the library. Test out your superhero skills or find out if you're more inclined to be a super-villain. Locate hidden objects around the building for a library-wide scavenger hunt, get a photo with a favorite character, and come vote for your favorite original artwork.
