Friends of Skagit Beaches and the Anacortes Library invite you to join us for the first of our “Tuesday  Talks” on April 21, at 7PM.  

Local super-volunteer, Pete Haase, will take us on a nostalgic journey to revisit April 22, 1970 when the first Earth Day event happened.  This event changed the trajectory of environmental history and spawned important environmental legislation such as the Clean Air Act and the formation of the Environmental Protection Agency.  
 
The presentation will be hosted by Friends of Skagit Beaches on Zoom and can be joined by video or phone (details below.)  Attendance is limited to the live presentation is limited to 100 people but the presentation will also be recorded and shared by the Library and the Friends website http://skagitbeaches.org for those who cannot attend the live presentation.
