(Updated) A citizen turned in a small parakeet to APD after finding him in the Storvik Park area this week.  Police and Municipal Court staff are enjoying the bird’s company while waiting for an owner to identify him.

(Updated) An out-of-state driver who was spotted using his cell phone while driving on Commercial Ave. ended up with a whole slew of other changes, including the use of ‘borrowed’ license plates.

A woman yelling that people were trying to kill her got the attention of the police just a block from the police station. 

A suspect gives up after 7 hours in a tree

A car theft suspect gave up after nearly 12 hours and a foot chase near Heart Lake during which the suspect climbed about 80 feet up a tree and refused to come down.

The city’s Animal Control Officer took a dog injured in a hit-and-run incident to a vet after a report of three on-the-loose dogs.
