Search continues for Keith Anderson

The search continued for the third day Monday in a remote area of southeastern Skagit County for Keith Anderson, who hasn't been heard from since January 6. His truck was discovered late Friday on a remote logging road.

Someone driving up the logging road spotted Anderson's truck, recognized it from publicity and drove back to an area when he could call the Skagit County Sheriff's Department. Deputies, search and rescue personnel and a detective from the Anacortes Police converged on the area early Saturday morning.

Since then, they have been searching the area on foot with search dogs. A spokesman for the Anacortes Police said there was no indication of foul play at the scene.

The disappearance of 62-year old Anderson, a long-time counselor at Anacortes High School, has garners quite a bit of interest. It has prompted a candlelight vigil and a grassroots search along with the placement of dozens of missing person flyers. Anderson required from the high school about 18 months ago.

His disapparance has concerned family members because he didn't have a cell phone, extra clothes or any medications when he left home on January 6.
