Meet the Filmmakersand enjoy fascinating stories from behind the camera with Seattle’s award-winning, environmental journalists Michael Werner and Katie Campbell. They’ll share their experiences, video clips and wild happenings that can occur when making a documentary film. You’ll also meet three young, local filmmakersmaking short films for Friends of Skagit Beaches’ Trail Tales project.

School Bond Chowder Chat

Each individual must raise a minimum of $50 to participate.

Enjoy a delightful afternoon touring unique homes and boats in historic Anacortes and Cap Sante Boat Haven.  All proceeds benefit Seattle Children's Hosptial uncompensated care program, ensuring that all patients will be accepted, regardless of ability to pay.  The event is sponsored by the Dr. Samuel G. Brooks Guild of Anacortes for Seattle Children's.

7th Annual Have a Heart Run

The 7th Annual Have a Heart Run is a family-friendly event located at beautiful Edgewater Park, just west of the Skagit River in Mount Vernon, Washington. This event features a timed 5K/10K run, 2K walk (dogs & strollers permitted), and a 1/2 mile kid's run. 

New this Year, “Couch to 5K!!! “

This 8 week training will get you ready to Run the Have a Heart Run. 5K training will begin on March 15. Training sessions will meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:15-6:15 PM and will include a special limited-edition Have a Heart Run Couch to 5K T-shirt and admission fees to the Run.

All proceeds from this event will benefit Community Action of Skagit County who walks side by side with nearly one in five people in Skagit County on their path to stability and prosperity. Though they offer many different services which range from homeless prevention to nutrition support, the real product that they offer is simple: hope.

Located on the Eastsound Village Green on Orcas Island alongside the Saturday farmers market and featuring an incredible variety of hard cider and mead producers from California to Canada pouring samples as well as selling product for take-home.  Live music all day.  Food and cider pairings featured at local restaurants during the week. Summer is a fantastic and popular time to visit Orcas Island, so make your ferry and lodging reservations early!    Admission to tasting tent plus cider and mead samples starting at just $10 includes admission, tastes and commemorative glass.   Adults 21+ only.
